The Tencent Great Wall Protection Project is a special fund jointly established by the Tencent Foundation and the China Foundation for Cultural Heritage Conservation, dedicated to the protection of The Great Wall of China. The Tencent Foundation has donated more than RMB35 million to the Special Fund for the Protection of the Great Wall, contributing to the renovation of two sections of the Great Wall in Beijing and Xifengkou in Hebei Province. Through Tencent’s technological expertise and reach, the protection of the Great Wall gained widespread public attention through animation, film, television, games, and other formats.

Additionally, the “Protecting the Great Wall, Count Me In” campaign attracted more than 400,000 participants by the end of 2018, achieving record-breaking participation in a cultural heritage project and the most funds raised on the platform to date.
